Side entries into the cage, landing edges on intermediate platforms, and final exits at the top each carry different traffic and risk. All gates in the table are bolt-on, hot-dip galvanized to ISO 1461 at 85–100 μm, and fit Φ700 mm cages with standard side rails — SS304 is available at roughly 1.8x the HDG price for corrosive sites.

- Spring return check, every planned inspection — release the leaf from fully open; if it no longer closes and latches on its own, the return mechanism has reached end of service
- Hinge wear — visible droop or lateral play at the hinge line means the leaf no longer aligns with the hoop opening; order the hinge set with the next gate
