Engineered, Documented
Structural Calculations for Custom Cage Ladders
Every custom order ships with an engineer-signed structural calculation sheet, so your drawings are backed by numbers.
- Structural Calculation Sheet
Engineer-signed, project-specific — reference DT-LDR-CAL-2026-0007 and later.
- 15-25 Day Lead Time
Standard custom production window after drawing approval.
- OEM/ODM NDA
Drawings and IP protected; NDA signed before we see your files.
Five Steps, Five Deliverables
From RFQ to Container — What Lands in Your Inbox at Each Step
A custom order is easy to track when every step ends with a document you can file. This table lists the artifact and the clock for each of the five stages, so you can slot them straight into your project schedule.
| Step | What Happens | You Receive | Clock |
|---|---|---|---|
| 1. RFQ | Send height, material and site constraints — a sketch or even a written description is enough to start | Itemized quote with structural calculations | Within 24 hours |
| 2. Free CAD | Engineers draft or review drawings against OSHA 1910.28 / EN ISO 14122-4 and manufacturability | CAD drawing plus compliance notes, for your approval | Scoped in the quote |
| 3. Confirmation | You approve the drawing and PI, and the deposit books a production slot | Signed PI and confirmed production window | On your approval |
| 4. Production | 5-stage QC with trial assembly of every ladder before packing | QC file and trial-assembly photographs | 15–25 working days |
| 5. Shipment | ISPM 15 export packing, container loading photographed, documents issued | B/L, invoice, packing list and compliance pack | Per your Incoterm |

Every Project Changes — the Cost Depends on When
Change-Order Economics: Free at Step 2, Expensive at Step 4
A dimension change is a keystroke in CAD and a recut order on the shop floor — two different worlds. This table shows what a change costs at each stage, so you know exactly when to freeze the drawing.
| Change Made At | What It Touches | Cost to You |
|---|---|---|
| RFQ stage — before drawing approval | the CAD file and the quote | zero — dimensions and material are revised and requoted within 24 hours |
| Drawing review — before PI confirmation | a new revision of the same drawing set | zero to minimal — engineering time is scoped in the quote for exactly this |
| After PI, before cutting | material orders and the production slot | schedule slip of days, sometimes a restocking line — cheapest paid change there is |
| During production — cutting or welding done | steel already shaped; some parts become scrap | material plus labor on completed stages; new 15–25 day clock on affected parts |
| After galvanizing or trial assembly | the whole value of the ladder to date | effectively a new order — which is why trial assembly happens at the factory, not your site |
The pattern is simple: changes are free while they live in CAD. Our process parks you at the drawing-approval gate as long as you need — because an extra day of review is the cheapest day in the project. One distinction worth knowing before you request a change: a material change — HDG to SS304, one grade to another — reprices the whole order because steel is the dominant line, while a dimension change inside the same material usually costs only engineering time. Knowing which kind of change you are holding tells you whether to hurry the email or take the day to think.
Custom Without the Chaos
What a Gated Custom Process Gets You
Custom does not have to mean risky. Five features of a step-gated process that keep one-off engineering as predictable as a catalogue order — and just as auditable.
| Feature | Advantage | Your Outcome |
|---|---|---|
| Sketch is enough to start | RFQ from a written description or photo, quote in 24 hours | budget approval before engineering spend |
| Free CAD before you commit | drawings drafted or reviewed against OSHA 1910.28 / EN ISO 14122-4 | you approve geometry, not imagination |
| A document at every gate | quote, drawing, PI, QC file, B/L — five artifacts, five steps | progress you can file, not faith you must extend |
| MOQ of one custom ladder | the same five-stage QC as a container order | pilot projects get full-grade compliance |
| Repeat orders re-drawn in hours | your geometry stays on file | sister sites quoted from memory, at tier pricing |
