Cage Ladder System – One Engineered Kit

Cage Ladder System – One Engineered Kit

One factory, one engineering team and one compliance file. Every caged ladder system is supplied as a single engineered kit — not a box of parts.

Ladder

Φ20 mm rungs at 280 mm pitch, 500 mm clear width, rated 1.5 kN per rung.

Cage

Φ700 mm safety cage with hoops 40×5 @≤1500 and straps 30×3, flared entry.

Platform

Landing or rest platforms engineered to OSHA 50 ft spacing and EN ISO 14122-4.

Handrails

Top-exit and platform handrails at 1100 mm, welded and finished to match.

System Specifications

Ladder, Cage, Platform & Handrails

Every cage ladder system is engineered as one unit with the parameters below, so rungs, cage, platforms and handrails always match.

  • One Engineered Kit

Ladder, cage, platform and handrails designed and welded together

  • OSHA & EN ISO 14122-4

Cage geometry, rung pitch and platform spacing per standard

  • Any Height to 25 m

Single runs to 14 m in one piece, bolted-splice single runs to 25 m, multi-run systems with platforms beyond 25 m

What a One-Factory BOM Looks Like

A cage ladder system is six line items engineered to meet at one wall — how the pieces become one product.

Line one, the ladder: stringers with 20 mm rungs at 280 mm centres and a 500 mm clear width, hot-dip galvanized as one piece up to 14 m. Line two, the safety cage: 700 mm hoops from 40×5 bar at 1500 mm centres laced with 30×3 straps, starting at 2.2 m in our build. Line three, landing platforms — one every 6 m on tall stacks under EN ISO 14122-4 — and line four, gates and handrails closing the platform edge. Line five is the anchorage: 8 mm standoff brackets at 1800 mm centres holding the climb 200 mm off the wall, fixed with the M12 anchor plan.

The sixth line is the bill of materials itself. Because every part comes from one factory, the BOM arrives complete — every bolt, strap and bracket counted — and the paper trail is single-source. One Declaration of Conformity covers the system against OSHA 1910.28 and EN ISO 14122-4, one EN 10204 3.1 material certificate covers the steel, and one engineer-signed calculation sheet covers rungs at 1.5 kN, hoops, brackets and splices.

Mixed-source projects answer compliance questions with a folder of vendor documents. A system answers them with one drawing set, one invoice and one crate count — and installs with a two-person crew in hours because the kit was trial-fitted before it left Shijiazhuang.

Where System Quotes Hide Their Gaps

Five Green Lights in a System Quote — and Four Gaps That Cost You Later

A system is ladder, cage, platforms, gates and anchorage engineered to meet at one wall. The quote should prove it. Use this list on ours — and on anyone else's.

Green lights in a system quote

  • All six BOM lines itemized — ladder, cage, platforms, gates and handrails, anchorage, documents
  • Platform loads calculated — not "standard platform" but a rated, signed calc sheet
  • One governing standard stated — OSHA 1910.28 or EN ISO 14122-4 applied across every component, not mixed
  • Handrail and gate loads included — edge protection engineered with the platform, not bolted on as an afterthought
  • Anchorage in the same drawing set — standoff brackets and the M12 plan appear on the system GA

Four gaps that surface on site

  • Ladder priced, anchorage "by others" — the most expensive words in a system quote
  • Platforms quoted per unit with no interval logic — positions must follow the standard, not the budget
  • Gates missing from the compliance file — a gate without its own DoC voids the documented platform it closes
  • Three vendors, no coordinator — interface dimensions owned by nobody, fixed by nobody

One Wall, One Engineer, One File

What a One-Factory System Gets You

Caged Ladder Systems FAQ

What does a cage ladder system include?
A complete system is one engineered kit: the ladder, safety cage, landing platform and handrails, designed together so every component matches and ships from a single factory.
What is in the compliance kit?
Every system order ships with a Declaration of Conformity to OSHA 1910.28 and EN ISO 14122-4, an EN 10204 3.1 material certificate and engineer-signed structural calculations.
Is system design really free?
Yes — our engineers review your site height and access requirements and prepare a free system design with your itemized quote, usually within 24 hours.
Can I get the whole system from one supplier?
Yes. One factory supplies the ladder, cage, platform and handrails as one kit — one supplier, one invoice, one set of compliance documents.
Does the system include anchor bolts and a bill of materials?
Yes — the M12 anchor bolt plan ships with every order and the quote carries an itemized BOM from ladder rungs to the last strap, so nothing is sourced on site.
Can we add a safety gate or platform to the system later?
Yes — gates ($60–180) and landing platforms ($150–400) bolt on to the engineered layout, so a system can start with the climb and grow with the site.
How are rest platforms arranged on a tall system?
Under EN ISO 14122-4 the cage starts around 3 m and a rest platform follows every 6 m — taller stacks are designed as multi-run systems with a platform at each break.
What does the export package and lead time look like?
Export packing is included in the itemized quote, and guardrail / walk-through exit groups ($90–250) are optional add-ons; production runs 15–25 working days. MOQ is one system and quotes are returned within 24 hours.
